Tampa Bay Region Infrastructure Resiliency to Climate Hazards Seminar

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC)

Because of your leadership role in the community, your knowledge and expertise, you have been identified as a valuable asset and are invited to participate in this pilot program.

The Seminar and Tabletop Exercise are designed to bring together Federal, state, local, and private sector stakeholders from the Tampa Bay Region to discuss critical infrastructure resiliency to climate hazards and threats. Participants will be presented with climate hazard data specific for the Tampa Bay area, to include sea-level rise projections, as well as other climate-related hazards assessed. Leveraging this information, participants will be asked to discuss the data with emphasis on identifying threats and vulnerabilities to critical infrastructure both public and private, as well as mitigation actions.

Lessons learned from the seminar will be utilized by Tampa Bay area stakeholders to develop strategies, build planning processes, and coordinate stakeholder planning efforts related to climate preparedness and infrastructure resilience.
