U.S. Department of Energy Cybersecurity Training Conference 2015

The 32nd Department of Energy (DOE) Cybersecurity Training (CST) Conference provides a training-based forum for DOE Federal and Contractor personnel to share cyber security information, new technologies and to train others on cyber security topics of interest.  The last DOE CST took place in 2010 in Atlanta, GA and over 500 attendees took part in the training.  Attendees participate from DOE Headquarters, National Labs, production facilities, research centers, power marketing administration sites, as well as Federal field locations.  Job Titles include: Chief Information Officer, Associate CIO for Cyber Security, Directors, Deputies, IT Specialists, Analysts, Cyber Security Program Manager (CSPM), Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and more.

This year’s theme, “Enabling Agents of Change: Securing DOE through Collaboration” focuses on collaboratively exploring and implementing new cyber technologies required to securely accomplish the DOE mission.  The theme further underscores the importance of understanding current cyber threats and vulnerabilities and sharing innovative approaches and strategies to mitigate such threats.  As in the past, the conference agenda will include diversified technical presentations, educational sessions, and workshops covering a wide variety of topics.  DOE is dedicated to the training and professional growth of their cyber and IT professionals!
