13th Annual National Security Australia Conference
Despite the extensive global attention and resources to countering national and international terrorism, Australia's national security organizations face the ongoing challenges of preventing and responding to the continually evolving national security environment. In the last few months alone, the emergence of ISIS and introduction of new national security and anti-terror legislation continues to place a spotlight on Team Australia's borders, assets and information.
Over the past thirteen years this conference has included an impressive range of high-level speakers from both the national and international security sphere and again in 2015, it will be a closed session conference to allow for frank discussion on how Australia's national security organizations are preventing and responding to the continually evolving national security environment.
National Security Australia 2015 will focus on perceived national security threats and challenges, counter-terrorism initiatives, new national security policies and strategies, as well as combatting serious cyber and organised crime.
Topics to be addressed include:
- Australia's Counter Terrorism Strategy
- The Threat to National Security Through the Cyber Environment
- The Depth and Penetration of Organized Crime
- Information Sharing and Collaboration in the Fight against Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing
- The Need to Retain Data for the Prevention and Response to National Security Threats
