Give Me 5: Transitioning Out of 8a - Fine Tune Your Pricing
The Small Business Association (SBA) created the 8(a) Business Development Program to help small and economically disadvantaged businesses win contracts from the federal government. Throughout the nine year program, 8(a) members receive benefits and protection from the competition of established businesses also competing for government contracts. However, an alarming number of businesses fail within two years after leaving the benefits and protections of the program.
To help small businesses position and prepare themselves for continued success after leaving the 8(a) program, Give Me 5 is hosting a series of free webinars over the next few months that will provide practical advice for the transition process. On March 4th the Give Me 5 program is hosting the second webinar in its 8(a) series, which will offer bidding strategies for small businesses that have left the program.
The Give Me 5 program was created by American Express OPEN and Women Impacting Public Policy in 2008 to help women business owners get a leg up on selling to the world’s largest customer: the U.S. government.
