Give Me 5: Navigating the SAM Registration Process by Understanding Key FAR Provisions

According to the recent Small Business Administration (SBA) Scorecard, the federal government awarded $83.1 billion in prime contracts to small businesses in 2013. The first step for business owners to apply for these contracts is registering on the System for Award Management (SAM). During the SAM registration process, the system asks questions based on the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), a set of rules outlining how the federal government awards contracts.

On March 11, the Give Me 5 program is hosting a free webinar to give business owners guidance on the SAM registration process and to provide insight on FAR-based questions and provisions federal contractors may encounter. Pat Meagher and Oliya Zamaray, government contracting attorneys at Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, PC, will host the webinar.

The Give Me 5 program was created by American Express OPEN and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) in 2008 to help women business owners get a leg up on selling to the world’s largest customer:  the U.S. government.
