2015 Abu Dhabi International Downstream Conference & Exhibtion

Building upon the success of 2014, Abu Dhabi International Downstream 2015 will continue to focus on the regions core goal of locking in deeper value from refining and petrochemical integration. The downstream industry accounts for a major share of the world’s energy and industrial markets; with refining and petrochemicals representing the backbone of many economies in the Middle East.

Ongoing developments in global competitiveness, such as North American Shale Gas and Coal-To-Methanol technology in China, coupled with a continuous change in customer requirements, means there is constant pressure to seek opportunities that accurately align and coordinate the different components of the industry. The integration of refining and petrochemicals offers considerable opportunities to address the competitive landscape by gaining higher returns on existing assets through increased stream integration and operational flexibility.

It is against this backbone that the second edition of Abu Dhabi International Downstream will align the regions key industry projects and individuals with an event that focuses on the now as well as the future of the refining and petrochemical industries. The event will bring together regional and international executives from NOCs, IOCs, Petrochemical Companies and the worlds leading technology companies to deliver case studies on integration throughout the refining and petrochemical industry. The conference will explore all the pressing issues facing the Middle Eastern downstream industry – from the changing dynamics of refining and petrochemical feedstocks, expanding the value chain through vertical integration to modelling and simulation, on-purpose technologies and the latest in Fluid Catalytic Cracking.
