ChallengeHER Washington, DC



On Monday, May 11, SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet will help women business owners learn about doing business with the federal government at the free ChallengeHER event. Throughout the program, attendees will learn about the SBA’s Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contract program and hear from agency officials and successful small business contractors about growing their businesses by selling to the government.

 

WOSB federal contractors can have a unique opportunity to:

  • Participate in Federal Contracting 101 and WOSB program workshops.
  • Get contracting advice and learn about resources in your local community.
  • Receive updates on current Procurement Policy and the WOSB Program
  • Hear insightful real-life success stories from women business owners.
  • Network with peer mentors and other WOSB and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) firms working in your field.

A few special notes on our program:

  • A photo I.D. will be required for registration.
  • Event registration and networking will begin at 8:00am and the program will begin promptly at 9:00am. 
  • Remember to bring ample business cards for networking purposes.

 

Launched in 2013, ChallengeHER is a joint initiative from the SBA, American Express OPEN and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) designed to promote the WOSB Program and bring more women-owned firms into the federal government’s supply chain.
