John Crane, or JC as he is known to most, is a 45+ year veteran of one of the Intelligence Community "Big 5" where he learned Cybersecurity as computers were coming of age. Appointed in this new position of what we currently call CISO, he represented his agency and was instrumental in developing NISCAP, setting the standards for Certification and Accreditation for the Nation and steering NIST controls into what they have become. Even though he retired, he continues to monitor his passion and has a wealth of Knowledge and advice for those working the field of Cybersecurity today.
