Innovation for Improving the Mission
Through the use of innovation and technology how are components and headquarters finding ways to get better results in support of mission? Webster’s Dictionary defines innovation as the introduction of something new (an idea, method or device).
Leaders within DHS and its components are the drivers of innovation in support of their missions and key programs in 2015. Panelists will discuss what innovation means to them in key areas including:
- Management
- Organizational Change and Process
- Technology
- Acquisition
The AFCEA Washington, DC monthly luncheon series draws between 350-400 senior officers and IT professionals from across the Department of Defense, armed services, intelligence and civilian agencies to discuss topics of interest to the DOD IT community ranging from IT networks to mobility to cybersecurity to UAS/sensors. The goals of the event are to foster better joint warfighting communication, share best practices and lessons learned, and identify mission-critical IT issues affecting the Department of Defense and military community.
