Cybersecurity Technology Symposium

Fighting Cyber Threats at Machine Speed to Defend our Nation’s Critical Infrastructure

AFCEA Bethesda’s Cybersecurity Technology Symposium discloses the threats facing our nation’s critical infrastructure, and how government and industry experts are working together toward mitigating sector-specific threats at machine speed. Breakthroughs and updates on the nation’s critical infrastructure protection policy are happening now. The legal and organizational framework for protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure sectors was updated back in 2013. Now, two years later, with the likely passage of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act and the imminent release of a new Presidential Policy Directive concerning the security and resilience of our nation’s critical infrastructure, it is time to plan for the future.

This event is relevant for anyone working in cybersecurity in industry or government, whose roles concern critical infrastructure.  The 2016 Cybersecurity Technology Symposium will be focused on the full stack of technologies needed to ultimately fight threats at machine speed.  Panelists are recognized leaders and experts in the financial services, healthcare, energy, communications and transportation sectors, some of the most important influencers in the 16 sectors considered critical to our nation’s security.

  • Learn about sector specific threats and the technologies, methods and countermeasures to fight them
  • Learn what players in each industry are doing to protect themselves against global, digital threats
  • Discuss the rapid innovation in cyber technologies and how to leverage advancements for the defense of your organization, with industry and government colleagues

Join 300 attendees from government and industry to learn about how government and industry employ sector-specific technology stacks to defend the foundations of our economy and our nation.
