Government Transformation 2016

California is a leader in many areas, but there is much work to be done when it comes to innovation in state government. Mobile apps, open data portals and on-line services exist in various parts of state government, but there is little coordination or public awareness of these efforts.

It is time for California government to focus on civic engagement – improving the services government offers and how it interacts with the citizens who need its services.

This conference will focus on four areas:

• Civic Engagement – Customer Service, Innovation in Action , and Effective Metrics
• Organization Performance Management – Cultural Change, Administrative Innovation, Personnel Development, and Mission Definition
• Leadership Development – Developing Innovative Leadership, Improving Team Dynamics, Mentoring, Communication, Innovation Education, Planning, and Active Listening
• Using Data Apps to Get the Big Picture Analytics and Big Data, Collaboration, Leveraging Metadata, Information Sharing, and Electronic Document Processing.
  
  

In addition, this conference will invite innovative companies and organizations from across the country to present ideas in a short presentation format (SPF) to share different solutions to solve current and future issues using tools and collaborations new to California Government.The main goal of these presentations is to spark conversation and collaboration on innovative ways to improve how California does business.
