AFCEA DC Armed Forces Day Fun Ride



Join the AFCEA Washington, DC chapter for a fun bike ride along the beautiful Potomac River. The ride, which celebrates Armed Forces Day, raises money towards STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) student scholarships and teacher grants.

Recruit your family, friends, and colleagues to cruise along the river. Affiliated with a particular branch of service? Join a team or create your own!

Ride highlights:.

  • Start times will be staggered with the first wave of riders pedaling off at 7:00 AM
  • Parking is available in Columbia Island Marina and Pentagon South parking lot
  • Stop and go at your own pace. Take a break in Old Town Alexandria.

If you are an avid cyclist or looking for some good exercise on a beautiful spring day, please contribute to this worthy cause and ride the historic route along the Potomac River from LBJ Memorial Grove (next to the Pentagon) to Mount Vernon (15 miles) and back (30 miles).
