Purpose, Process and Benefits of Completing a Water Audit Webinar
This webinar is the second of a two-part water loss control webinar series. Part One gives an understanding of the regulatory landscape and why water loss control management is becoming a forefront topic for utilities, with some discussion of tools to use. This Part Two is more hands-on, providing training for how to complete a water audit. A general introduction/recap of Part One will be included, followed by an examination of AWWA Manual M36 and the water audit software.
Water loss control is becoming more prevalent across the country, and regulatory agencies are beginning to require water-loss audits for systems. For example, California and Georgia are states that require water audits as a part of their regulatory frameworks. AWWA’s free water audit software provides utilities with the tools necessary to complete an audit to meet regulatory requirements. Because of the cost–benefit analysis, it’s beneficial for utilities, whether required or not, to use water loss control management and complete water audits for their systems.
Learning Objectives:
- Grasp the key developments in the most recent AWWA Manual M36
- Apply AWWA’s Free Water Audit Software to pursue water-loss control
- Evaluate water audit results
