Ask the CIO: Online Chat with Greg Garcia, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Greg Garcia, the CIO of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will join Federal News Radio on May 12 at 9 a.m. for a free online chat. Garcia will discuss how USACE is spending its $225 million IT budget.
Garcia will also discuss the Army Corps of Engineers’ role in the Army’s testing of its transition to Windows 10, and how his service is taking advantage of Office 365 in the cloud and working with the Defense Information Systems Agency to implement the Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS). Garcia also will address how the Army Corps of Engineers moving to virtualization, enterprise VOIP and other technologies to promote innovation and better digital services.

GUEST BIOGRAPHY:
Greg Garcia has been the CIO of the Army Corps of Engineers since February 2016. In that role, he is the principal advisor to the Corps Commanding General on information technology issues. He is responsible for all aspects of information resource management and information technology for the Corps.
Before coming to USACE, Garcia was the executive director of the Army IT Agency for four years, and previously worked in a variety of civilian executive positions focusing on technology during his 34-year career in government.
