How to Prepare for Critical Conversations
In this workshop you will:
- Enhance your conflict management skills through interactive scenarios.
- Handle difficult conversations and conflict in real time and discuss real solutions.
- Obtain tips to better communicate with peers and supervisors.
- Gain confidence and overcome a defensive nature, with practical tips to put into practice.

7:00 – 7:30: More networking with appetizers and drinks
ABOUT NEXTGEN - NextGen is a movement. It’s about inspiring government innovation. It’s about providing training and leadership opportunities to people new in government. It’s about helping managers bridge the generation gap to help develop and retain new talent. It’s about creating the absolute best next generation of government.

Virginia Hill -- Past President, Young Government Leaders (YGL) National Board & Program Manager, Partnership for Public Service
Virginia serves as the Past President of Young Government Leaders (YGL) National Board in Washington, DC. In this role, she represents the national organization in the media, spearheads and participates in organizational projects, and has the privilege to speak to audiences of current and prospective government employees.
During her day job, Ginny is a Program Manager for customized leadership programs at the Partnership for Public Service. Moving to the Partnership in February 2015 was a new chapter in her journey to make a positive impact on government; this time from the outside in.
