Leave & Telework as Reasonable Accommodations for Federal Employees

Let’s face it. Leave and telework accommodation requests are not going to go away. In fact they are on the rise. And it’s important that you correctly apply the law and current EEOC decisions to these requests to remain complaint. In this seminar, Attorney Kaplan will cover the most recent EEOC decisions and how they relate to approving or denying leave and telework requests.

This convenient 90-minute audio conference will provide you with up-to-date guidance on:

  • Questions you can ask an employee before approving leave or telework
  • How leave and telework can be used as a reasonable accommodation
  • Recognizing when leave or telework would be an undue hardship
  • How to successfully provide an alternate accommodation than the one requested
  • Understanding how leave and telework can be reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities
  • Working with employees who have disability-related issues with commuting
  • What medical information is appropriate to request in connection with an accommodation request for leave or telework
  • And more!
