Big Issues Conference: Topics at the Top of the Agenda
Presidential transitions always pose a challenge to emerging and innovative IT initiatives. Often, the momentum on initiatives can get lost, as a new administration gets its bearings and decides where to invest its energies (and dollars). On the other hand, a transition presents an opportunity to take a fresh look at new ideas and strategies that can have a transformative effect on agency operations.
Career employees are critical to ensuring a smooth transition, providing incoming leadership with institutional knowledge and operational expertise. At this event, Federal IT leaders share their thoughts on the key strategies and technologies that the new administration should look to leverage in the coming years.
The Big Issues conference will feature three keynote presentations focused on core issues that incoming agency officials must address as they develop strategies for the coming year:
- IT in Transition
- The Modernization Conundrum
- The Cyber Imperative
Additionally, the event will include panel discussions focused on emerging strategies for five IT “foundations”—that is, cross-cutting technologies that are essential to agency operations.
- Digital Services
- Enterprise Infrastructure
- Advanced Analytics
- Cloud
- Cybersecurity
