4th India CLMV Business Conclave

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and Government of India will be organising the 4th India-CLMV Business Conclave from 27-28 February 2017 at ITC Rajputana, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The last edition held in Tamil Nadu received very encouraging response and was attended by more than 120 International delegates from both Government and Industry led by Ministers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Myanmar. CLMV (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam) countries have lot of potential for bilateral trade and inward investment. The Government of India, under its "Act East Policy" has put tremendous focus on these countries which provide investment opportunities for Indian companies and also provide the vital link between India and the rest of the ASEAN region.

The Conclave will provide a platform for the overseas delegates to highlight their requirements for investment, for the Indian industry to know about the opportunities available in these four countries for investment and trade and for Government to showcase their initiatives to enhance economic engagement with the region, and discuss the way forward in line with its Act East policy.

This Business Conclave will not only serve as a platform to interact with Ministerial and Business Delegations from the CLMV countries but also identify specific project opportunities and seek business partnerships in the region. The two-day programme which will consist of sectoral sessions, country sessions and business to business meetings and will focus on sectors like these:

• Gems & Jewellery,

• Mining,
• Leather,
• Renewable Energy,
• to name a few.
