NASA Goddard Cyber Expo

For the past 41 years, the Federal Business Council has produced thousands of symposiums, expositions, training forums, and conferences, both on-site and off, for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies. 2017 stands to improve upon our schedule, with over 100 events planned.

The 2017 Goddard Cyber Security Expo will held at this secure facility hosted by the Cybersecurity Services & Integration Division (CSID) under the Office of the Chief Information Officer. The Cybersecurity Services & Integration Division will be recruiting speakers to provide informational sessions on relevant Cyber issues. Industry exhibitors may sit in on the sessions. This event will be promoted to all NASA Cyber and IT-focused personnel, as well as the entire workforce at this location.

NASA Goddard Overview

Goddard’s scientists, engineers, and professionals require IT in order to conduct the center’s efforts to transform human understanding of Earth and space. ITCD personnel support the center in achieving its science and technology mission through the efficient and secure application of IT by:

• Providing the Goddard workforce the information infrastructure and tools that adapt and evolve to effectively and securely support management, science, research, and technology programs
• Developing, implementing, and operating specialized IT systems to support mission and project implementation
• Providing systems that disseminate information to the public and protect NASA's information assets

In order to meet these needs, Goddard’s IT personnel provide a full range of IT services and capabilities for the center, including desktop support, application development, collaboration tools, network engineering, and cyber security. The team brokers enterprise services from the agency to provide efficient and cost-effective solutions, and extends those services with local solutions to meet the unique requirements of the center’s science missions.

The priorities of Goddard IT can be divided into three major areas: capability, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
