Speaker and Presenter Information
Mr. Lipscomb is a 25-year veteran in the public safety, smart cities and information technology industries including launching several software and consulting startups that focused on both government and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to becoming CEO of Hypersight, Darrin was the Global CTO for Public Safety and Smart Cities division of Hitachi Data Systems that was formed from the acquisition of his company in 2014. He has spent the last 14 years working with both government and private industry through a company he founded in 2003 called Avrio Group that focused on safe and smart city solutions including city-wide networks and software interoperability and integration platforms. Prior to founding Avrio, he held several positions at Remedy including Director of Engineering and Product Management where he was responsible for product strategy for their next generation CRM and workflow platform. Mr. Lipscomb obtained his (M.S.) Masters of Science degree in Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech with emphasis on decision support, system dynamics and statistical modeling.
