Airport Security Asia 2011

Embracing International Co-Operation, Human Factors and Advanced Technology to Reinforce Airport Security

Airport security has tightened drastically in recent years as countries all over the world confirm their commitment to fight terrorism in all its forms, with particular attention to countering threats against civil aviation. There is a need to enhance international aviation security standards and measures in order to respond more effectively to new and emerging threats.

Airport Security Asia 2011 will bring together top aviation security experts from around the world, and in particular from Asia to brainstorm strategies and evaluate new technologies that will enhance airport security and enable closer international collaboration on intelligence sharing. Case studies and interactive panel discussions on the application of new screening technologies, use and design of the airport security system, effective perimeter security, updated anti-terrorism measures and more will be shared at the summit.

  • Balance security measures and the passenger’s convenience
  • Work towards a common intelligence platform across all airports
