Defense Intelligence Acquisition Conference 2011

An Invitation to All Acquisition Professionals in the Intelligence and Defense Communities

The Defense Intelligence Agency invites you to attend its third Defense Intelligence Acquisition Conference being held in Miami, Florida, 14-17 March, 2011. This year’s conference theme, “Leveraging Efficiencies for Operational Effectiveness,” will bring together experts from government, industry, professional trade organizations, and academia to share their insights, outlooks and perspectives on the most relevant issues, opportunities and challenges we are facing today as we deliver new technologies and operational capabilities to our war fighters and our national security customers.

The constantly changing landscape in our national security priorities and defense posture, both worldwide and domestic, continues to present us with ever evolving challenges.  Our established processes must be reassessed in light of these changes and a new way ahead must be initiated through better understanding and implementation of the DoD and IC efficiencies outlined by the Secretary of Defense and the Director of National Intelligence.  As a means of fostering stakeholder partnerships for achieving successful outcomes of these initiatives, our three day conference will showcase superb military and civilian keynote speakers and insightful panel discussions.  The general sessions and workshops will provide attendees with a diverse range of timely topics certain to enhance knowledge, provide an opportunity for lively discussion, and offer a forum that underscores efficiencies and best practices throughout the acquisition arena. I cordially invite our industry partners to be actively involved in our sessions as well as take advantage of this occasion to participate in the Industry Exposition where you may demonstrate your latest technologies, capabilities and offerings to our diverse DoD and Intelligence Community audience.  This conference continues to provide a forum for collaboration and networking between all key stakeholders who support the defense intelligence enterprise as we continue to adapt to asymmetric warfare threats around the globe while achieving efficiencies through acquisition.  Our ability to maintain a positive, proactive and collaborative dialogue between industry, academia, professional organizations and their government customers translates directly to improved outcomes.
