Navy-Marine Corps Budget Priorities Briefing

The Navy-Marine Corps team is under tremendous pressure to sustain its peace-time presence missions; increase operational readiness; add more ships and develop technologies and concepts of operation to enhance conventional deterrence in the face of increasingly sophisticated threats; and invest in strategic nuclear force upgrades.

Even with an increase in the budget planned for fiscal 2018 and 2010 it still means some tough tradeoffs in the near and far-term.
