The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations' specialized agency responsible for the safety and security of shipping, and the prevention of marine pollution by ships.  It is the preeminent forum for global maritime safety, security, pollution prevention, human considerations and legal affairs, as well as facilitation of ship to port interface, technical issues and audit schemes. But how did this organization start, and how does it conduct its work?  This webinar will endeavor to answer these questions, by presenting an introduction and overview.
