This webinar will provide PowerPoint slides and include commentary from Johanna Reeves, who is founding partner of the Washington, DC law firm, Reeves & Dola, LLP.  For more than 15 years, Ms. Reeves has dedicated her practice to advising U.S. companies on export and import matters arising under the Arms Export Control Act, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Export Administration Regulations, economic sanctions and embargoes administered by the Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Gun Control Act of 1968, and the National Firearms Act of 1934. Webinar participants are invited to submit questions during the webinar. The final 30 minutes of the webinar will be allotted to answering attendees’ questions.


Each registrant will receive a copy of the presentation, certificate of completion, and access to the webinar recording.

Johanna Reeves is founding partner of the Washington, DC law firm, Reeves & Dola, LLP (www.reevesdola.com).  For more than 15 years, Ms. Reeves has dedicated her practice to advising U.S. companies on export and import matters arising under the Arms Export Control Act, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Export Administration Regulations, economic sanctions and embargoes administered by the Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Gun Control Act of 1968 and the National Firearms Act of 1934.

 

Ms. Reeves designs and implements compliance programs and provides training sessions on U.S. export and defense trade controls and federal firearms laws.  She also designs and leads internal audits to assess compliance in these areas.  Ms. Reeves counsels on voluntary and directed disclosures and represents clients on regulatory compliance and enforcement matters before the federal government.

 

Since 2011, Ms. Reeves has served as Executive Director of the FireArms Import/Export Roundtable (F.A.I.R.) Trade Group (www.fairtradegroup.org), a national nonprofit membership organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of the firearms and ammunition import and export community.  She is a current member of the U.S. Department of State Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG).
