TREIA Member Response on Puerto Rico Crisis
In September 2017, hurricanes Irma and Maria hit Puerto Rico, destroying the island's electric grid and leaving 3.4 Million residents in complete darkness. After months of work, restoration efforts are still on going. Utilities and electric companies from main land, including many TRIEA members, provided extensive support in restoring power to distressed fellow Americans on the island. Join us to hear Austin Energy and Younicos present their work in Puerto Rico and discuss the lessons learned for preparing Texas grid to withstand similar disasters.
