2011 EIA Energy Conference

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will hold its 2011 Energy Conference at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, April 26 and 27. The annual EIA Energy Conference brings together thought leaders from industry, government, and academia to discuss current and future challenges facing energy markets and policymakers.

The 2010 EIA Energy Conference was a great success, hosting more than 800 participants with presentations and round-table discussions featuring Dr. Steven Chu, Secretary of Energy, Dr. Lawrence H. Summers, Director of the National Economic Council, and many other distinguished guests.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) is the statistical and analytical agency within the U.S. Department of Energy. EIA collects, analyzes, and disseminates independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment. EIA is the Nation’s premier source of energy information and, by law, its data, analyses, and forecasts are independent of approval by any other officer or employee of the United States Government.
