Pathways to Alternative Acquisition

This education and training event is for the doers.  For the courageous and strategic-minded who tackle issues head-on and seek to implement intelligent solutions.

This event will bring together like-minded people who seek new and better business collaborations between industry and government. Other Transactions Authorities (OTA) and other innovative business approaches can rapidly advance new capabilities more affordably -or- can be an alternative acquisition system for advanced projects, cradle to grave.  OTAs, while widely talked about, remain poorly understood and the potential barely scratched.

OTAs allow freedom of contract and freedom to think, prioritizing goals rather than rules in contractual relationships. The essential ingredients for success include personnel who want to accomplish mission goals and are prepared to step outside business-as-usual to do so. Program managers, contracting personnel, fiscal experts and lawyers need to be equipped with the knowledge that enables them to make maximum use of business judgment and common sense; and envision ways of doing things that have seldom or never been done before!

Education is the Key to unlocking the power of OTAs!
