Information on Technology to Support Operations in the Information Environment

The purpose of this Information Event is to determine the Science and Technology state-of-the-art with respect to the range of requirements and sub-tasks identified in the attached document.

This is not an Industry Day event where monies are set aside for contracting parties to provide specific capabilities. By responding to this call for information, researchers will help JIOWC determine how to structure future science and technology investments to achieve desired outcomes.

Information on Events:

Day 1. U.S. Government will provide an overview of the importance and military relevance of OIE.  Attendees will then be formed into four capability area subgroups, led by government advisors, to explore technology requirements in more detail.  A technology demonstration opportunity will be offered during the last two hours of the first day for attendees to provide technology exemplars

Day 2-3. Interested participants will have opportunities to present individual briefings over the next two days (the number of days will be determined by the number of attendees interested in presenting) to a U.S. Government-only audience.

Presentations will be strictly limited to 10 minutes and should focus exclusively on OIE capabilities and not marketing messages. Please reference the Capability Overview page for a description of the capability areas and CRCs. Presentations may be any combination of Power Point presentations or software demonstrations, however, the time limits will be strictly enforced and internet connectivity will not be guaranteed.

SUMMARY: The Department of the United States (U.S.) Army hereby gives notice of its intent to conduct an Information Event (meeting) on technologies to support operations in the information environment, on behalf of the Joint Information Operations Warfare Center (JIOWC). The objective of this event is to identify current technologies in an effort to address requirements identified in the Joint Concept for Operations in the Information Environment (JCOIE). The intended outcome of this Information Event is to identify potential performers, stakeholders, and technological capabilities to support future efforts through contractual mechanisms. While this event is being organized by the Army, all US DOD Services and Joint Staff interests will be represented. This event is a capstone event to the JIOWC Capability Based Assessment to identify required technology available to support desired military capabilities.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Interested offerors of information may attend the event in person or may submit a response in 100-words or less describing how a technology meets one or more of the tasks identified in this document. Persons who attend the event must also submit an abstract of 100-words or less for inclusion in a final report.

For those offerors who will not attend the event but desire to have their technology included in the report, written responses should be submitted to the website no later than June 28, 2018 3:00pm EST. If problems are encountered on the website, material may be sent to the following address:
