The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the principal Federal agency for programs concerned with the Nation's housing needs, fair housing opportunities, as well as improvement and development of the Nation's communities.

Jerry E. Williams became the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Chief Information Officer (CIO) on July 6, 2009. In this capacity, Mr. Williams provides direction, oversight and management of the Department's Information Technology activities.
