This free event and complimentary breakfast is open to government employees* as an opportunity to explore best practices with their peers who measure and manage the customer or employee experience at their agencies. Agency professionals will share how they use feedback mechanisms to improve operations and fulfill the missions of their agencies.

Speaker and Presenter Information

Seth Hassett is the Director of the Division of Community Assistance (DCA) within OCS in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). DCA administers the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). Seth is responsible for oversight of specialized technical assistance and performance management efforts for CSBG. With over 25 years of federal oversight experience in human services and behavioral health programs, Seth provided leadership for unprecedented community mental health programs for Presidentially-declared disasters such as the September 11 terrorist attack and the 1999 Oklahoma City tornado.

 

Kate Blunt is president of KMB Associates, a consulting firm she established in 2005 after retiring as a Senior Executive from the federal government. In that same year, she became a senior consultant with both the Interior Department’s Federal Consulting Group and Weidner, Inc., a leader in bringing state and local governments a best practice, strategic planning system, focused on results for citizens. Kate has fifteen years of experience using the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) methodology to assist her clients.

 

Sheila Simms joined the U.S. State Department in 2011 where she is currently serving U.S. Citizens as a Passport Operations Officer in the Customer Service Division. Sheila is the lead for managing several government recognized programs that measure customer service performance; the Happy or Not, federal feedback kiosk and the American Customer Satisfaction Index Survey (ACSI). Sheila also worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Postal Service, and as a Contracting Officer with the U.S. Secret Service. Sheila has 20+ years federal service experience.
