Using Data To Increase Financial Integrity

This forum seeks to bring together people from the data, analysis, financial, policy and public communities to better understand the challenges and solutions to financial integrity.  This forum is looking to provide cases of how using seemingly disparate data led to company or agency success.  We want you to imagine the possibilities and provide you with a couple of tools along the way.

 

Keynote Speaker:

Suzette KentFederal Chief Information Officer, Office of Management and Budget.  Ms. Kent will focus on Office of Management and Budget's strategy on data and analytics.

 

Ted Talk Type Government Presentations

Each presentation will focus on examples of how data from multiple sources were collected and analyzed to assist in strategies and predictive trending.  Case examples will include how barriers were overcome and how data drove decision making, improved customer experience, and assisted with agency changes.

 

Industry Panel: Innovative Solutions And Tools

Technology and tools are vital to collecting, segregating, and analyzing disparate data that can yield an end product for analyzing trends, changes in operations, process improvements, and resolving issues related to improper payments, fraud and abuse, and financial issues.  This panel will provide examples of technology and tools that have been used in the private sector to accurately combine and utilize data more effectively for the advantage of their clients.

 

Executive Government Panel Discussion 

There is a long-term, enterprise-wide Federal Data Strategy to better govern and leverage the Federal Government's data that will enable government data to be more accessible to the public, businesses, and researchers and that will improve the use of data for decision-making and accountability for the Federal Government to assist with policy-making, innovation, and learning.  This senior level government panel will discuss how their agency's goals and objectives, what they have accomplished to date, and what their plans are for the future.

 

Closing Keynote:

Margaret Weichert, Deputy Director for Management, Office of Management and Budget

Ms. Weichert will focus on the presentation on payment integrity issues and solutions.
