The World Congress 2nd Annual Leadership Summit on the Meaningful Use of Certified EHRs and Other Technologies to Improve Health Care

On January 3, 2011, the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System portal went live, a major milestone in the government’s timeline to incentivize providers to demonstrate the “meaningful use” of certified EHRs to improve care delivery and for the exchange of information.  Stage 1 Meaningful Use criteria have been published and Stages 2 and 3 requirements are currently open for debate. The health care industry has been given a call to action.  Never has there been a more challenging time for providers to adopt, implement and optimize an EHR to reach quality of care goals and to bend the cost curve.

The World Congress 2nd Annual Leadership Summit on the Meaningful Use of Certified EHRs and Other Technologies to Improve Health Care will convene delegates from hospital and health systems, medical groups, health plans, health information exchanges, states and government to discuss strategies for implementation and optimization of EHRs and other technologies that will meet the requirements for Meaningful Use.

By ATTENDING this Summit, you’ll be able to:
  • Develop a strategic plan to demonstrate Stage 1 Meaningful Use
  • Manage the impact of HIT on physician workflow and patient safety
  • Meet Meaningful Use thresholds and establish a behavior modification process at the provider level
  • Obtain stimulus funds and learn lessons from practices who have been paid
  • Implement best practices in integrating “patient contributed” data with your EHR
  • Develop a financial sustainability plan for establishing and participating in an HIE
  • Plan concurrently for HIPAA 5010, ICD-10 as well as demonstrate Meaningful Use
  • Utilize clinical decision support tools, develop care transition programs and pharmacy applications to transform care
