ACT-IAC Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation Forum

This event qualifies for 4 CLPs

This forum will provide government and industry with a much clearer understanding of Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Intelligent Automation.  To set the stage for this half-day forum, we are providing a short description of these terms.  RPA promises to speed up and automate routine processes while reducing the amount of errors, which in turn will enable human team members to pursue higher value tasks that cannot be easily automated.  AI is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making and translation between languages.  IA - the combination of artificial intelligence and automation - is starting to change the way business is done in nearly every sector of the economy.  IA systems sense and synthesize vast amounts of information and can automate entire processes or workflows, learning and adapting as they go.  IA marries AI - including natural language processing, machine learning, and machine vision - with automation.

This forum supports the President's Management Agenda (PMA) CAP Goal 2 on creating data strategy and infrastructure for the future and CAP Goal 14 that promotes the introduction and use of innovative tools and services for technology transfer.  Register now to hear from the subject matter experts in field, examples of where government has applied this technology today and its plans for the future, and the ethical impacts on AI.
