DIA Reverse Industry Day



The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Contracting Operations Division (CFO4), will hold a Reverse Industry Day in the Tighe Auditorium at DIA Headquarters (DIA HQ), also known as the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center (DIAC), on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB), Washington, District of Columbia (DC) on Wednesday, 3 April 2019, from 8:30am – 12:30pm EST.

 

The Reverse Industry Day will be an UNCLASSIFIED event.  This will be a non-traditional event where industry panel members will provide insight and perspective to attendees as to how industry addresses Government acquisition-, contracting-, procurement-related activities and challenges.  Panel members from small, medium, and large companies are being sought, see further information below under Panel Member.  Panel members should be senior-level industry personnel with wide ranging experience and knowledge of commercial and Government processes.

 

There will be two 90-minute panel sessions, to include questions and answers (Q&A), separated by a 20-minute break.  The topics for the panels will be:

 

  1. Industry Investment Based on Government Requirements
  2. How Industry Decides What Opportunities to Bid

 

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time via email to diaindustryengagement@dodiis.mil.

 

Seating capacity is limited to ~150 industry attendees.  Companies will be limited to two attendees or registrants.  Registration instructions are provided below and registration will be closed upon reaching seating capacity or Friday, 15 March 2019, whichever comes first.  Due to base and facility security and access restrictions, no unregistered individuals will be allowed.  In addition, no “last minute” adjustments will be allowed.  Parking and access information will be provided to registrants via email.

 

Also, it is imperative that all attendees follow the registration and DIA HQ and JBAB Entry Process instructions as described below.

 

Webinar:  There will be no webinar capability for this Reverse Industry Day.

 

Panels will be UNCLASSIFIED.  Handheld and other electronic devices are not permitted inside the DIA HQ facility and will be seized by DIA Security.  There are a limited number of storage lockers in the DIA HQ main entrance lobby.  However, these lockers fill-up fast.  Attendees are encouraged to leave their handheld and electronic devices in their car or elsewhere.

 

In the event of inclement weather or some other unscheduled incident, we will follow guidance posted on www.opm.gov.  If there is a Government delay or shutdown, we will reschedule to a later date.

 

Panel Members:  Panel members should be senior-level personnel with commensurate experience and knowledge of commercial and Government acquisition, contracting, and procurement processes.  Panel members will be placed on one of the two panels, state a preference if any when registering, and will be allowed a few minutes at the start of the panel for remarks and then discuss and answer questions, both prepared and impromptu from the audience.  Panel members are to submit their bio with their registration.  Panel member registration is due by 26 February 2019.  See below for registration instructions.

 

General Attendee:  Non-panel member, general attendee individual registration instructions are provided below.  No more than two attendees per company.

 

Registration Instructions:  All individuals, panel members and general attendees, will register by following the following instructions.  One registration per individual.  Registration will close on Friday, 15 March 2019, or when seating capacity is reached, whichever comes first.

 

Note:  DIA Security requires specific information to complete limited background check to allow individuals to be escorted into DIA HQ and requests registrants provide their full name and the last 4 of their Social Security Number (SSN) to facilitate their limited background check.  Please provide last 4 of SSN with registration or provide by calling the Point of Contact (POC) at the numbers provided.

 

Do not, repeat, do not include any of your Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as full SSN, address, or any other PII.
