AUSA's ILW Army Sustainment Symposium & Exposition

“Shaping Sustainment for Tomorrow”

This symposium brings together experts from the sustainment field to share experiences, insights and lessons learned from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Enduring Freedom, and other contingency operations such as the Haiti Earthquake Relief and Pakistan Flood Relief.

The 2011 Sustainment Symposium is the first since the end of Operation Iraqi Freedom, which culminated in the drawdown to just 50,000 U.S. Forces in Iraq, the largest comprehensive logistics operation since World War II.  Over the last decade, and as the Army completes the drawdown in Iraq, sustainment organizations, processes, tools, and technology have undergone huge change, while our country is fighting two wars, which has created a continuum of momentum that makes the next level of adaptation even more critical.  Today, the Army is modernizing while simultaneously institutionalizing the Army Force Generation model and sustaining forces across the full spectrum of operations.  As the Army moves forward, it will continue to seek capabilities that satisfy the Soldiers’ needs and help the Army better manage the uncertainty that will continue to characterize current and future operations.

At this year’s Sustainment Symposium, we will address the context of the “LOG Nation,” discuss key observations from recent and current operations, provide an opportunity to dialogue with current depot and arsenal commanders, and explore opportunities to leverage sustainment organization capabilities, and promote a better understanding of life cycle sustainment.

The 2011 AUSA Army Sustainment Symposium and Exposition will provide an open forum for attendees to interact and participate in discussions with leaders from the U.S. Army, DoD, industry, and academia.  Exhibit Hall A of the Richmond Convention Center will allow 38,500 square feet of display space and is suitable for any heavy equipment you may wish to bring.

We hope that you will make your plans to exhibit at this important AUSA/Army event.
