Join INPUT for a Federal Executive Breakfast featuring Teri Takai, Chief Information Officer, Department of Defense (DoD) to learn about DoD’s FY 2011 technology infrastructure plans and initiatives.

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates appointed Teri Takai as Department of Defense Chief Information Officer in October 2010. Previous to this role, Takai served as the CIO for the state of California. In her role as the DoD CIO, she will be responsible for managing the billions of dollars spent on information technology (IT) and ensure the IT capabilities meet the needs of the U.S. military.

During this breakfast session the following topics will be addressed:

  • Upcoming technology and status updates within DoD
  • Her role in the department’s investment in Information Technology
  • Challenges and opportunities facing the DoD

The event will also feature Deniece Peterson, Manager, Industry Analysis for INPUT, who will identify major technology investments within the Department of Defense.
