AvengerCon IV

The first AvengerCon was started in 2016 by members of A Company (nicknamed “the Avengers”) of 781st Military Intelligence Battalion to provide a venue for hackers in the formation to come together and share interesting ideas in a day of thought-provoking presentations. AvengerCon II and AvengerCon III saw big expansions to the event, with inclusion of workshops, lock-picking lessons, wireless and radio-frequency hacking villages, capture the flag competitions, and a new two-day format.

Despite our growth, we are dedicated to keeping to the same principles that launched the first event. These principles are:

  • to promote hacker culture from the grassroots level of U.S. Cyber Command;
  • to develop and grow junior members of the organization by providing a platform for learning, contributing, and mentoring.

In keeping with these principles, the event is planned with an attempt at keeping all members of the organization in mind. This includes both the junior and experienced members, and those in both technical and non-technical job roles, and military, civilian, and contracted personnel. Moreover, we’re always looking to expand the event’s inclusion, so please contact us if you have any ideas for us to make the event even better.

AvengerCon is a free event, and is open to any member of U.S. Cyber Command or the uniformed military services working in information security. If you are unsure of if you fall in these categories, please reach out!

Note: you will be asked to provide a Common Access Card (CAC) to gain entrance to the event. If you do not have a CAC or are a member of an organization external to US Cyber Command, please reach out to the event organizers at [email protected] to describe your organization and receive approval to attend.
