Social Security Administration Security Awareness Day



Hosted by the Office of Systems Security and Operations Management, this one-day tabletop event is intended to raise general computer security awareness for the end-users at SSA. Speakers and exhibitors from government and industry will highlight basic security awareness topics.

At the 2009 Security Awareness Day, over 600 SSA employees visited the exhibit area and we hope to build on last year’s success. Attendees included: IT Specialists, Program Analysts, CSOs, Security Analysts, and Project Managers.

About SSA

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is Commissioner-led and has a staff of over 65,000 employees within an organizational structure of 13 offices. SSA`s central office is located in Baltimore, Maryland. SSA pays retirement, disability and survivor’s benefits to workers and their families, and administers the Supplemental Security Income program. In addition, they issue Social Security numbers to our Nation’s citizens.
