Agile in Defense

Purpose

The conference will bring subject matter experts and other skilled practitioners of both Agile and Lean, and to discuss how DoD acquisition is rapidly migrating to new, innovative processes.

Attendees will:

• Learn how agile development is being used in DoD and integrated within traditional acquisition processes like Earned Value Management
• Interact with experts in both Agile and Lean to understand how these approaches are converging
• Identify practical procurement and contracting approaches for agile SW development
• Examine concrete lessons-learned from real-world successes and failures
• Expand their insight on the relationship of agile software development to governance, enterprise architecture and portfolio management
