The Submarine Operations & Requirements Conference Series brings together Submariners from around the world to discuss the critical issues to the community. From overviews of key platform and technology developments, better understanding of the evolving Submarine mission profile, to the current threats being faced. The 2nd Annual conference will focus on the issues essential to maintaining submarines at the forefront of naval capabilities.

Our audience is made up of programme managers of operational and future platforms, individuals responsible for defining future submarine capability as well as platform and system engineers. We also welcome significant representation from leading capability providers and their partners.

Highlights of the 2011 conference include:

  • Current programme updates including the Royal Norwegian Navy’s ULA-Class modernisation, the German Department of Defence’s innovative 212A fleet, the Italian Navy General Staff’s expeditionary Todaro-Class and the role of NATO COMSUBSOUTH in Somalia counter Piracy operations
  • Future requirement priorities for global submarine fleets: The event will include details of the Swedish Armed Forces future flotilla with emphasis on the needs for the A26-Class vessels and an update from the Royal Australian Navy’s SEA-1000 Collins-Class replacement programme
