Army National Guard Logistics Management Seminar 2011

Purpose

Seven Army National Guard (ARNG) Logistics Division sponsored conferences, workshops and meetings have been combined to make the Logistics Management Seminar (LMS) the ARNG’s premier logistics event.  The LMS aspires to bring together all functional areas of the ARNG Logistics community and our strategic partners to review the full scope of critical and current National Guard logistics information, techniques and technologies relating to the National Guard’s dual role (State and Federal), and to promote synergy throughout the ARNG logistics community through networking, logistics skills training and information sharing of best practices.

Outcome

Participation in the LMS will provide attendees with a better understanding of the strategic objectives facing the ARNG logistics community through 2015 as well as foster improvement of business processes and procedures for working together more efficiently and productively to the benefit of the entire Army National Guard.

Content

The 2011 theme ‘Back to Basics’ serves as the central focus for all presentations and discussions.  Throughout the week-long conference ARNG logistics leadership and subject matter experts, as well program managers from all functional areas will provide the most up to date information on issues currently challenging the ARNG logistics community.  Attendees can choose from more than 150 presentations on topics from proper management of excess and obsolete property to CONUS convoy management to current stressors on OPTEMPO.  Special focus will also be given to Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss procedures, the mobilization policy and processes as well as Automated Resource Management and logistics maintenance.  These presentations, and more, will set the stage for what will be a week-long evolving discussion on strategic objectives, and improving business processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies and productivity to the benefit of the entire logistics community.
