TechNet CyberLog Mid-America 2011

TechNet Mid-America is an annual event sponsored by both the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Scott–St. Louis Chapters. In the continuing practice of collaborative partnerships, this year, we have incorporated the Distribution Process Owner Group of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems Directorate (C4S).  The theme, “Innovation Through Partnerships: World Class Distribution and Technology”, supports the DoD’s focus on continuous improvement and developing greater efficiencies. The 2011 event features professional development seminars, two keynote breakfasts and a keynote luncheon.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

After many years of deployment, sustainment, redeployment, cyber and IT operations with the warfighter throughout the world--most recently in Southwest Asia--we must continue to improve our IT and Logistics support to be effective. The objective of this conference is to look at what we have learned and how we can better apply ourselves to the pressing missions at hand, in a time of resource constraints. Often we focus on what we can do tomorrow when there are greater efficiencies we can take advantage of today. Through our conference, we will look for opportunities to build greater efficiencies in our Joint environment by discussing what we can do today with leading edge technologies while improving processes, networks and infrastructures which result in lower costs and smarter ways of doing business – increasing our partnerships across the DoD and with industry. Our distinguished keynote speakers, panelists and presenters will share with you their vision of today’s emerging technologies and distribution concepts that we can use to improve the IT and logistics infrastructures within the DoD.
