10th Annual National Child Welfare IT Managers' Meeting

The Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau (CB) is pleased to announce that the 10th Annual National Child Welfare IT Managers’ Meeting will be held May 23-26, 2011 at the Waterview Conference Center, Arlington, VA! The meeting is hosted by the State Information Technology Consortium (SITC), under a contract with the CB. The theme for this, the 10th annual meeting, is:

“Profiles in Progress:
Applying the Results after a Decade of Collaboration”

  • Profiles in Portals
  • Profiles in Pilots
  • Profiles in Productivity
  • Profiles in Persistence
  • Profiles in Performance

As in previous years, the agenda reflects recommendations made by the National Child Welfare Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and facilitates Federal and State, State-to-State and State-to-Vendor discussion/collaboration. The meeting will provide attendees with information on how child welfare practices and systems are changing and how to use new technologies to make these changes more cost-effective, and to improve service delivery for children and families.

No Registration Fee! Travel Costs Paid By The CB! New Options This Year!

Recognizing that State travel budgets are limited, as the CB’s contractor, SITC will pay airfare, lodging, and training costs for:

  • The 2011 Child Welfare Technical Advisory Group (TAG) members, representing Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia. TAG members’ airfare, lodging and training costs will be paid by SITC.
  • One child welfare technical or program staff person from each State (including the TAG member States). The child welfare technical or program staff’s airfare, lodging and training costs will also be paid by SITC.

With SITC covering the travel and training costs, States will avoid large out-of-pocket expenses. TAG members and authorized State technical and program staff may file a claim directly with SITC for reimbursement of the federal meals and incidental expenses (M&IE) per diem and ground transportation costs. Therefore, no State funds are required for travel and participation.
