NASA IT Summit 2011



NASA's second IT Summit will be held on August 15-17, 2011 at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, CA.  The Summit will gather 2,000 participants and feature a line-up of more than 100 speakers who will present on themes around collaboration, social networking, innovation, infrastructure, operations, and IT security and privacy.

Objectives

Provide an integrated forum for NASA’s IT community, including all of its working groups, enabling the NASA IT community to:

  • Create a venue for continuous learning that provides the NASA IT community perspectives on internal and external IT landscape;
  • Participate in a much larger forum for networking among peers;
  • Develop a greater sense of the NASA IT community;
  • Highlight and share best practices in key IT subject areas;
  • Focus on IT Mission enabling capabilities;
  • Have well-known and recognized key note speakers address the more global subject areas of innovation and the future of IT;
  • Recognize key accomplishments in the community and showcase them;
  • Engage the NASA student community to participate with the IT community, cultivating and recognizing the students’ academic and research efforts; and
  • Set out on the road to being the best IT community in the Federal Government.
