DISA Customer & Industry Forum

Join Army LTG Carroll F. Pollett, DISA director, and the entire DISA leadership for the 2011 DISA Customer & Industry Forum at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Md. from August 15 to18. This year's conference theme is “Power to Connect: Enterprise within Reach.”

The annual DISA conference brings together decision-makers and subject-matter experts from the military services, combatant commands, industry, and academia to share information and ideas that are critical to helping DoD achieve mission success and are of mutual interest. The conference also features a list of stellar speakers, all of whom are thought leaders in their respective areas.

This year, we have incorporated DISA’s annual Forecast to Industry Day and renamed the combined event our "Customer & Industry Forum." The Industry Day program on Wednesday, Aug. 17, will feature a series of briefings by DISA senior staff, addressing tactical acquisition issues, requirements, and planned procurements for the 2012/2013 fiscal years. 

The forum enables you to interact with DISA senior leaders and other participants to hear about and discuss the successes, challenges, initiatives, and way ahead in the areas of enterprise infrastructure; command and control and information sharing; and operating and assuring the reliability, availability, diversity, capacity, and security of the enterprise. Our focused tracks and breakout sessions covering multiple technological disciplines within DISA are not only opportunities to learn about what DISA is doing, but they are also opportunities for you to provide feedback and to stimulate a continuing dialogue throughout the forum and afterward.

In addition to sessions covering our “Joint Enablers” (such as contracting, testing, and spectrum management), the conference program offers three tracks reflecting the DISA Campaign Plan “Lines of Operation”: 

• Enterprise Infrastructure
• Command and Control and Information Sharing
• Operate and Assure

Feedback from participants in previous DISA conferences attests to the value of the face-to-face interaction and discussion among government-to-government and government-to-industry professionals. With speakers on the cutting edge of information technology and telecommunications,more than 3,000 participants, and more than 200 industry exhibitors, the networking opportunities at the sessions, on the exhibit floor, and during the evening activities are endless.

Recognizing that time and budget for both large and small businesses may be constrained and to enable the maximum number of business/industry representatives to participate in the high-level review of the requirements and business opportunities of DISA, a special, one-day rate is available for industry participants who want to attend only the Forecast to Industry program on Aug. 17. However, you are strongly encouraged to consider the advantages and overall, increased value of participating in the entire Customer & Industry Forum. One of the reasons Baltimore was selected as the site of the 2011 forum was to make it easier and less expensive for potential participants in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metropolitan areas to fully engage in the entire forum.
