Military Training And Simulation Asia (MTSA 11)

Military Training and Simulation gathers pace in Asia

Singapore, July 26 – There are many challenges facing the acquisition of affordable simulation technologies for Asian armed forces. Throughout the region different militaries weigh options for buying new equipment, looking to overcome issues such as integrating digital equipment to live training methods, identifying the correct C2 simulation systems for their specific requirements and how to buy the most cost effective COTS simulation software. According to Amo Mostofi, General Manager Asia at Clarion Events, “Many armed forces in the region are now focusing on simulation technology because it can be cost effective, help save time and effort in the maintenance of platforms and reduce the logistical footprint. It is being recognised as a very important tool to train service personnel.”

At the Military Training & Simulation Asia 2011 conference to be held in Singapore on 28-29 September 2011, Silver sponsor Boeing will be talking about the value of experimentation for collaborative future concepts development. Boeing’s presentation will focus on simulation for decision support and defence experimentation to support force structure development. Boeing’s Phantom Works' Strategy Development & Experimentation group is designed to provide that understanding through the world's premier family-of-systems experimentation capability and perform customer-focused operator-in-the-loop experimentation. Facilities include the Boeing Centers in Anaheim, Crystal City, St. Louis, Australia, United Kingdom, Republic of Korea, Japan and India.  The Boeing Laboratory Network (LabNet) connects company labs with government, commercial and civilian labs domestically and internationally.

Another Silver sponsor on board is Trinigy. The company develops and sells the Vision Engine, one of the most advanced 3D development platforms for serious game and simulation development. Powering more than 200 commercial projects, the Vision Engine is used by some of the largest civil and defence organisations, including Caterpillar, EADS, Rheinmetall, the USAF, and others.

Military Training & Simulation Asia 2011 is the only content led conference in the region that covers discussions on tailor fit and COTs solutions for Asian militaries. Military Training & Simulation Asia 2011 will further the discussion on military training and education, and help further the expansion of the military simulation community in Asia. With over 20+ speakers you are going to meet with military simulation subject matter experts from Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and many more.
