SNG Live: Securing a Remote Workforce
As the coronavirus pandemic spread across the globe, federal agencies were forced to rapidly respond, ordering a sizable majority of personnel to tele-work remotely. While many federal agencies had embraced tele-work to some degree in the past, the scale at which they've needed to move their employees to virtual work environments during COVID-19 has been unprecedented. In many cases, agencies weren't prepared to have their workforce mobilize in such a way, putting strain on networks and opening devices up to security concerns outside the boundaries of a physical office.
This SNG Live Virtual session will explore agencies' rapid response to shift to remote tele-work during the early days of the pandemic, what went right and what went wrong, and how these changes will impact the federal government in the long-term.
