Industry Day for Native American/MBE Companies and Prime Contractors

On July 13, SNAP and The Native American Business Enterprise Center (NAEBC)  and The OSU Center for Innovation and Economic Development ‘s ASSEST program will be hosting an intimate and well focused event at the Tinker Business and Industrial Park.  We are inviting our Native American contractors and other small business contractors to attend and discuss the forecasts of upcoming opportunities at several of our federal installations.  Of course, we have invited the small business staff. However, some of our companies are also interested in joining teams of the larger contractors as subcontractors. We also do  outreach to non-native companies we know are also interested in attending as our potential business partners.

There is no cost being charged to the participants for this outreach event. Our goals is to move toward smaller more focused events that are building relationships with each other and have an affinity to collaborate to meet the upcoming needs of the federal government into the future.

We would like to invite you, your acquisition staff and key program offices  to join us and opening up a dialogue to discuss:

·         Your companies upcoming forecasts  in our region and at other installations?

·         Which of all the forecasted opportunities do you struggle with the most? Why?

·         Where do you see the best opportunities for building competitive teams?

·         When you look at a proposal what do you consider the factors that makes a great proposal?

·         What do you consider the most critical factors to consider when reviewing responses?

The forum will be an open forum of dialogue more like a roundtable than formal presentations. No PowerPoint’s allowed! Our outcome will be to drill down to the “meat and potatoes” where can we assist you in providing the most efficient contracting workforce.
