Rear Admiral Robert E. Day Jr. assumed the duties as the Assistant Commandant for C4&IT and the Director, Coast Guard Cyber Command, Pre-Commissioning Detachment on July 2010. Since assuming his new role, Admiral Day is following the lead of OMB and exploring technology solutions in cloud, data consolidation, and cyber security for the Coast Guard.
